Bootstrap Service Create And Manage Target Server Profiles

Within this section, you are able to create or administer server profiles that will be assigned to your devices.

List server profiles

This section provides an overview of your target server profiles, allowing you to review, modify, or remove them as needed.
If you wish to create a comparable yet distinct server profile, utilize the copy function to replicate and update the settings accordingly.

Add server profile

Basics

This section allows you to assign a descriptive name and summary to the profile, making it easier to recognise later. Later you will apply this profile to a device, a clear name helps indicate its purpose and specific features. For example: “AWS dev environment” or “Cloud of things productive environment.”

Target System

In this section, enter the URI and specify the intended APN to be utilized.
If the selected APN requires authentication, you may also configure the username and password here.

Bootstrap Operations

In this section you will see all operations which will get sent to the device during bootstrapping process. The upper read only area show the operations which are generated by the system. These are the operations which contain the configuration information you entered in the Target System section. Add Bootstrap Operation lets you add or remove LWM2M objects during bootstrapping to match device settings with the server. For instance, increasing server registration lifetime reduces network load and saves battery, while decreasing it helps the server spot offline devices sooner and conserve battery.

Bootstrap via Internet

You can also bootstrap devices through the public internet.
Devices need to be pre‑provisioned with a PSK.
The PSK can be entered here, and devices using this PSK are allowed to bootstrap the corresponding profile.

Webhooks

The bootstrap service supports webhooks to push messages about a successful bootstrap test or bootstrapping procedure.

The Test Notification Webhook URL is used if the setting “Bootstrap Allowed” in the Bootstrap Device Configuration section is disabled. Every device with these settings contacting the bootstrapping service will trigger a push message. You can use this as a end of line test during production without finally configuring your device. The Bootstrapped Notification Webhook URL pushes a message once a device successfully bootstrapped.
